The Case for Independent Voices in Canadian Politics

Bobbi Ann Brady was elected as Haldimand-Norfolk MPP in the 2022 election as the province’s lone Independent MPP. In doing so, Bobbi Ann became the first female Independent MPP ever elected in Ontario. Previous to this role, Bobbi Ann served as the Executive Assistant to Progressive Conservative MPP Toby Barrett for 23 years. His research about party message discipline in Canadian politics includes the books Brand Command (2016), Whipped (2020) and the forthcoming No I in Team (2025).
