Stefan Köhler: How Much Can We Trust Our Memories?
251 Dundas St
London, ON
Join the Rotman Institute and Department of Philosophy for their annual public lecture series, co-sponsored with the London Public Library, on Thursdays in October.
This year’s theme: how do we experience and measure time or form memories of the past?
In the final talk of the series, Stefan Köhler will review research from psychology & cognitive neuroscience that addresses the fallibility of human memory. He'll discuss research findings & highlight some of their implications for legal settings (e.g., eyewitness testimony). Finally, he'll explain how limitations of human memory can be tied to its many scientifically well documented strengths.
