Launch, TBA: Journal of Art, Media, and Visual Culture

Join us in the Cohen Commons this Thursday, November 21 from 5-7PM for the launch and opening reception of "tba: journal of art, media, and visual culture.

In its inaugural issue, "tba: journal of art, media, and visual culture" tackles the theme of FAKE. With selected submissions from Artists and Art Historians, we explore the nuances, (im)possibilities, and limitations of concepts such as accuracy, representation, truthfulness, and information. Can and should the fake be countered? If so, how? The space between-real–and-virtual environment supports speculation, the trace, optimism, and possibility for emerging social relations. Is this ‘in-between space’ our new real?
