Oncology Grand Rounds - Radiation Onclogy Initiative
Join us for Grand Rounds in Oncology on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. This session will be presented in-person and via Zoom.
Melissa O'Neil, MSc, MRT (R) will present, "Diagnostic CT-Enabled Radiation Therapy (DART): Results of a Randomized Trial in Paliative Radiation Therapy."
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Review the literature on "sim-free" radiotherapy and discuss the rationale for investigating and developing these workflows;
- Present the results of the recently completed phase two randomized trial comparing diagnostic CT-enabled ("sim-free") pallative radiotherapy planning to conventional simulation-based planning; and
- Discribe the impact of "sim-free" radiotherapy for patients and systems, and briefly discuss implementation strategies and future work.
