Join us for The ImPaKT Summit: Our ImPaKT on Pathogens, as experts gather to discuss the role the Imaging Pathogens for Knowledge Translation (ImPaKT) Facility will have on future research at Western University.
The morning event includes research updates from David Heinrichs, PhD, Paula Foster, PhD and Jessica Prodger, PhD as well as a plenary talk from Thomas J. Hope, PhD and a panel discussion on finding a cure for HIV and the role the ImPaKT Facility will play.
Thomas J. Hope, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology and Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Feinberg School of Medicine and in Biomedical Engineering in the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Northwestern University. Dr. Hope’s laboratory has been a pioneer the use of cell biology approaches to study HIV providing images and movies of HIV interacting with cells and tissues. For the past 25 years, his research has focused on HIV Cellular Virology. More recently, this focus has expanded to HIV related mucosal immunology, HIV transmission and HIV Prevention Science.
