Poverty: Healthcare Access for Families

Workshop participants will be introduced to interprofessional education and concepts, while learning about the unique social and economic challenges encountered by individuals, children and families in poverty attempting to access health care. Participants will be guided through Bridges of Poverty, a simulation presented by Goodwill Industries.
Western University and Fanshawe students are eligible for co-curricular credit upon completion. Those in attendance will also receive a certificate of completion. This workshop is intended for students within a health and health related field.
Volunteer opportunities are available. Lunch will be provided, and reusable water bottles are encouraged.
