Public Afternoon - Surprises in Stones

The Richard W. Hutchinson Geoscience Collaborative Suite will be hosting a special Holiday themed event - Surprises in Stones! Many cultures will soon be enjoying a season of giving and celebration with family and friends. Gifts are typically a surprise for the recipient, and as such we have centered this public event around the theme of Surprises in Stones. Join us for a celebration of all kinds of geological surprises, such as geodes and fossils. Every child and student who attends the event will receive a surprise gift to take home with them!... while supplies last.

We will have special holiday themed activities for children recommended ages 6 and up, and a special exhibition of holiday themed rock and mineral specimens. As always, this public afternoon at the Richard W. Hutchinson Geoscience Collaborative Suite will also include beautiful exhibitions of rocks, minerals, fossils and meteorites from around the world.
